Lectures by Sculptor – Painter Ntina Anastasiadou at New York College.
Artist Ntina Anastasiadou has begun a series of lectures on "History of Japanese Calligraphy and Sumi-e Painting". Lectures are held at the New York College (Chamber A7) with the participation of a great audience. The lectures are held under the auspices of the Japanese Embassy in Greece. Her subjects are of particular importance for the understanding of Japanese calligraphy and ink painting evolution from 600 AD until today. (Sumi-e or ink-wash painting is achieved by grinding the ink stick and the ink stone).
The narrative of this art is of great interest since it helps us to understand its evolution and adoption from Europe and America. The impact of sumi-e on European and American artists is of great importance because they assimilated and changed the flow of Contemporary Art through their contact with Japanese culture.
The scientific knowledge and experience of Sculptor – Painter Ntina Anastasiadou in lectures, gives an excellent result for the understanding of the Arts of Japan by all her listeners. I experienced the feeling of this communication because I attended her second important speech at New York College, with the careful attention and questions set by the audience. Her speeches are a wonderful journey to the great history of Japanese ink painting of sumi-e.

Ομιλίες της Γλύπτριας – Ζωγράφου Ντίνας Αναστασιάδου στο New York College.
Μια σειρά ομιλιών με θέμα «Η ιστορία της Ιαπωνικής καλλιγραφίας και ζωγραφικής sumi-e» έχει ξεκινήσει η καλλιτέχνης Ντίνα Αναστασιάδου με μεγάλη συμμετοχή ακροατών στην Αίθουσα διαλέξεων Α7 του New York College. Οι διαλέξεις τελούν υπό την Αιγίδα της Ιαπωνικής Πρεσβείας. Τα θέματα της είναι ιδιαίτερης σημασίας για την κατανόηση της Ιαπωνικής καλλιγραφίας και ζωγραφικής με μελάνι (που προέρχεται από τρίψιμο πετρωμάτων, το sumi-e) από το 600 Μ.Χ. μέχρι σήμερα.
Έχει μεγάλο ενδιαφέρον να γνωρίσουμε μέσα από την εξιστόρηση αυτής της τέχνης την εξέλιξη και την αποδοχή της από την Ευρώπη και την Αμερική. Ο επηρεασμός του sumi-e είναι πολύ σημαντικός για Ευρωπαίους και Αμερικανούς καλλιτέχνες οι οποίοι αφομοίωσαν και άλλαξαν την ροή της Σύγχρονης Τέχνης μέσα από την επαφή τους με τον Ιαπωνικό πολιτισμό.
Η επιστημονική γνώση και εμπειρία στα θέματα της διάλεξης της Γλύπτριας – Ζωγράφου Ντίνας Αναστασιάδου δίνουν άριστο αποτέλεσμα για την κατανόηση της από όλους τους ακροατές της. Την επικοινωνία αυτήν μπόρεσα να την εισπράξω από την δεύτερη σημαντική ομιλία της στο New York College παρακολουθώντας την συμμετοχή και τις ερωτήσεις των παρευρισκομένων. Ήταν και είναι οι ομιλίες της ένα υπέροχο ταξίδι σε μια μεγάλη ιστορία αυτής της Ιαπωνικής τέχνης του sumi-e.
